This month I want to talk about one of our major rules. That rule is to always KEEP IT REAL!
To be a Modern Day Samurai in your Life, you must Keep it Real about the facts. Plain and simply stop lying to yourself and to others. Get the facts straight and live in reality.
Reality is neither good nor bad. It just is. Your life is the result of your choices, so take extreme ownership of it! Stop making excuses about why you cannot achieve something. Look at the facts. Do not act out emotionally; rather, look for the truth. Do not permit yourself to live in a fantasy world. It is okay to be uncomfortable. It is necessary to be uncomfortable to have true growth.
It is uncomfortable living in reality; that is why so many people try to escape into an easy fantasy that leads to inevitable complacency and mediocrity. If there was a cardinal sin of the Modern Day Samurai warrior philosophy, it would be being comfortable for too long, creating complacency, and being satisfied to have a life of mediocrity.
